If you're a web developer or host, now you can generate more revenue and improve your service with the new AdSense API. The AdSense API is a free beta service that allows you to integrate AdSense into your website offerings.

What can I do with the AdSense API?

Using the AdSense API, you can enable users to perform a variety of AdSense functions without leaving your website, including the following:

All the best to Web Designers & Hosts around at DP! ;)

Hopefuly many will be benifited from this API that AdSense team have unveiled.

    Cheers,

You can check their blog for now http://adsense.blogspot.com/2006/05/introducing-adsense-api-beta.html which provides additional details, may be there will be more once people start using them.

For now, google has allowed http://www.rateitall.com/ to implement this service on their website.

Will this apply to DP? From what I have read I'm of the impression that this is meant more of those that are hosting sites, like free hosts in exchange for having advertising on those sites hosted...

This kinda sounds like what premium publishers do (customizing their ads)... is this right? Shame you have to have so many pageviews for it tho :)

    Hi Shawn,

Thanks for the merge of both posts, I had tough time to quote both the posts for reply. But now that vb 3.6.0 is on the way, with Double Quote feature, I am sure we can expect a better control over reply of posts quoting 2+ people at same time.

    Cheers,

Easiest would be to cut cost instead of increase revenue. I will integrate AdSense revenue reporting into our accounting. No need to log in anymore and download CSV which then need manual integration into the rest of the accounts.

I've now got API's coming out of my ears... AdWords, AdSense, eBay, Overture, Postcode Lookups etc. etc. Great stuff!
