I don't think many people have noticed the "New! Explore the audiences of specific websites with Trends for Websites" bit. I didn't when I first went there, but when I had another look I did. (thats why I edited my post) Maybe you should have posted it like this... Check out Google's version of Alexa Rank! Cheers James
its their for ages.....but it didn't gives you true count....one can check many other versions from country to country too googlr trends india, uk, etc.
his point (in which he didn't say in the start of the thread ) is that it now has trends for websites, not just keywords. it is not the alexa killer.even if you don't like alexa,it is way better then trends. in trends for a site to show results has to have a ton of google traffic. ok,say you enter a site that has results.you get those useful graphs. trends is only useful for comparing,so...what site are you going to compare it to? after you find a site to compare it with, what are you going to do with this wealth of information. a site can be big without any google traffic.
the trend still needs more functions, it is too weak yet, we can not find related keywords, and how many times the keywords have been clicked in a day, in a month.
Now you can acsess google trends for websites in FireFox 3. We wrote new parameters to use it in SeoQuake (FireFox seo plugin), so you can see all Gtrends data just in SERP or visiting site. You can get them here http://addons.seoquake.com/params/index.php?sln=en&browse=2&tag=google&res_lim=10
