My CTR is so high.. it's worrying me.

My CTR is incredibly high (I know i can't reveal it). I haven't clicked my own ads. It's possibly because the ad's are good and I don't get many visitors. Maybe 50 a day. So, my question is... will Google suspect anything strange? I know it sounds a bit odd but I wish I wouldn't get any more clicks today because if I saw my stats... they would look suspicious to me. Presumably they have an IP log of clicks, so they can verify the clicks. Should I do anything?

Does anyone else get a very high CTR with a low traffic site?

Yah, high CTR sucks... I feel for you. :)

Don't worry. If you aren't cheating then there is nothing to worry about. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I'm not opposed to high CTR :), but such a high CTR with such little impressions. It's got me worried. Oh well, hopefully all should be well.

What's your domain? I will check if there are any alerts/flags on your account.

How is that done? Is there a place to check for flags etc. Just curious.

    For OP

That happened several times to me I emailed G the first time and they checked it out said they would monitor. I guess they did and everything must have been fine.

Can somebody explain to me what CTR is? I'm a newb to AdSense and I don't really know what all this is, as I thought it was unimportant.

    CTR = Click Thru Rate
    Impressions / clicks = CTR

Number of clicks you are getting in relationship to the number of views (impressions) from visitors. 10 clicks with 100 impressions = 10% CTR

    10 clicks from 1000 impressions = 1%

    Cheers!

Oh ok. Any why can't people show this? I see on screenshots it's always blurred out and such.

I guess Google has good reason. It's basically one of those things you just don't do.

You can PM me your domain if you would like me to check for any alerts/flags noted on your account.

Yeah... he gave advice to AdsenseAddict, saying his blog was flagged. Maybe he works for them, but would they approve of this?

I doubt Google would let you check flags on domains, it would really help frauds.

HOw much is a lot in terms of CTR???

is 10% high? 20% very high, 30% super high, 40% impossible. 50% you joking me????

I mean what is high, and at what level should one starts to write to google about the high CTR?>>>

    is there a guideline???

All i can say is the higher CTR you have the more likely you will be smart priced and will eventually make less money via .01/.03c (max) paying clicks. Take my situation as an example. I still hold at least a 15% CTR and likely most of the time near 20% - Higher CTR = Less money you will make. I used to make twice as much as i do now. Traffic(+quality)/CTR/entire website hasn't changed at all. The way i see it we will see an influx of non-content bs sites trying to outrun smart pricing, ultimately could result in more MFA sites. Oh and my traffic is almost entirely FROM google so if they have a problem with the 'quality' &/or conversions maybe they should take a look at themselves. Not penalizing webmasters.

i think above 10% is high

btw scoxy see if those clicks are paying good or low .. if they are paying low like 0.05 cents or somewere around this .. its prolly being made single person .. if its paying good then u dont have to worry, cuz it would be prolly genuine.

Yeah I made an acceptable ammount for my clicks. Nearer $0.3 than $0.05
