Google Christmas Gift

    This question is for anyone else that got that night Google gift, the pack with the mouse, ear buds, thumbdrive, light, etc.. The USB light (I must have used the hell out of it) has died. Anyone know now to fix it? I assume I could try and pull it apart and replace the LED?

    Anyone?

    I think all those are chinese built stuff...so will work only once... don't have option to replace.. coz you don't know the type of led etc.

    Leds aren't meant to be replaced. They last for years. Must be something else.

    Yeah, the LED is fine. It appears to be a short somewhere in the USB connector itself. I happened to have one like it already that I bought at the Apple store years ago for plane travel, but the Google one looks cooler. I may have to operate.

    Yeah, I got sick of those PR threads, so why not razzle people in a more subtle way. ;)
