Webmaster Tools Updates BLs 3 times in 10 days

Is this a new trend starting? Do you think that Google are going to start updating backlink stats in webmaster tools more often now? or is it just that they are getting close to a PR update that they are reporting backlink changes more frequently.

30th of May they updated, then again on the 1st of June and again today.. all 3 of my sites have had a slight increase..

Any thoughts?

Good for you man, but i haven't seen any changes on the WMT Updates it's still the same timing for me ! but i hope they will be updating it more faster than before.

 

For me today, little decrease in backlink counts for one of my blog

 

yeah, i know, why it happens, i have first time found the same, and lots of back links are decreased also,
well before 10 days i got so many back links containing nofollow links also, i have not yet checked out which back links m currently having,
but i m sure, webmaster tools may be deleted the links which has nofollow.

 

Hmm, most of my backlinks are gone from there over the last few days. I've manually checked the links (by looking in the referer log in my site stats) and they're still there, without 'nofollow' or anything. I think Google's just dropped a lot of links.

Webmaster tools updated backlinks again today for all of my sites, so that makes it 4 times in about 18 days.
this must be a new trend.
I have never seen backlinks updated so frequently in webmaster tools.
I have heard people say that there back links update every couple of weeks, but mine would hardly ever update.
I heard there was a backlink update the other day when you do link:site.com check, but when I checked, mine had not updated at all. still only showing 1, but today webmaster tools says "All pages (total links) 994"
At least webmaster tools is showing new ones

Anyone else get any updates?

i got bls update today. a little decrease.

Any way to find deep backlinks?

 

this is pretty normal, it has been once a week or every ten days or so for a few months now.

 

Yahoos siteexplorer is by far the best and the most frequently updated, you should have a look there..
Strange how some are not seeing any updates, and some are.

It must update at different rates for different people, I keep a close eye on Webmaster tools, and the dates that I have stated up above are the recent updates (to my sites) that I have noticed.
Now I know backlinks are constantly updating, but I wonder why the updates in webmaster tools only shows for some people and not others!
I wish WMTs updated as frequently as yahoos siteexplorer.
