This is weird I wonder if other are experiencing something similar and have any suggestions. I have two web sites, they are in different niches, they are hosted on the same server but on different IP addresses and they do not and never have linked to each other. So as far as Google is concerned there is no long between them. On May 30th google traffic to one of the sites dropped from a few hundred visits a day to practically zero. On June 4th the same happened to the other site. Anyone experiencing something similar? I have not made any massive changes to any of the sites. Anyone experiencing something similar? Is google making some algo/index changes and I should just wait and see how things unfold?
I have few websites and I dont crosslink them and I am fine .. I think you need to finid another reason than crosslinking
I am having the same problem. A site with several hundred uniques per day from G lost all serp ranking right about May 30. I have no idea what is going on. My site is squeaky clean. Zero cross linking. PM me if you want some links to articles I have and have seen on what is going on. Edit: A friend of mine that promotes sites reports the same situation on some sites during this same time frame.
Yes i have seen it happen on a few sites lately, same thing and if you look deep enough in the SERP's you will probably find some of your keywords around #250 or around #950 I have no idea what the cause is, all the sites i have examined share no common attribute and none deserve to be penalized.
I do know google changed their search engine algorithm recently, giving less credit to links for site rank. Its possible that this has effected your sites and their rank on google.
one of mine droped from over 900+ to almost 0 too lately. but another went from about 200 dialy to about 600 around the same time period and is still growing each day. so im glad least if ones droping another is doing better in google so im still happy.. only 2 sites were effected my others remain steady.
thanks for all the replies, not that it helps much but I am more relaxed to hear I am not alone As for the IP addresses, they are not associated with spam one of the sites was on the address for a very long time, the other is younger. The sites are still indexed and us some mentioned here they can be found on very low positions (pages 4-5 and more) for keywords they used to be #1 for.
I've noticed a drop in Google images for some my images from two non-related sites. They're all back now.
They seem to be moving some sites around in serp. Just work on getting links and wait and see what happens
Same here guys. Huge drop in traffic to my sites as well. Does this situation normally change? Is it short time?
