Daily Updated Job Sites

Thought I would contribute these links for the writers in this forum. I get asked by a lot of people if I know of places where they can sell their writing. I’m not sure why some of them ask me of all people, but I’m happy to help if I can.

It is worth your while to check these out, if not daily, then certainly when you’re having a slow work week and need some new projects. Expand your circle of searching and you’ll create opportunities for yourself.

    These sites are updated daily

    • Sun Oasis - Check for online jobs regionally, nationally, or globally. Has listings for journalists, freelance writers, mag writers, etc.

    • Online Writing Jobs - Has different categories of listed work - high paying, low paying, no paying. Lists collaboration opportunities, and scams. Sometimes list book & ghostwriting opps. Both jobs & contract work can be found here.

•Aboutfreelancewriting.com - This site is a compilation of sorts. Many of the listings here come from Craigslist, some from Online Writing Jobs, some from the other writing sites out there. The only jobs that appear in the list are for writing, either jobs or assignments.

•Freelance Portfolios - This is a site that wants you to sign up. It is free, and allows you to not only peruse the markets, but also post a portfolio for clients to read. You can then communicate with clients through the website. Helpful articles too.

•Net Temps - A free job board for temp & full-time jobs. The day of this posting, there were several ads for technical writers. This site has won awards, including Fortune 10's & Forbes Best of Web. Worth checking out!

That’s all I’m putting in this thread. I hope these links help you open a few doors of opportunity.

Thank-you, Jenn! I submit lists to different sites, and I would love to have her site on it. The more opportunities, the merrier!

Thanks for sharing these useful resources :)

I would add to the list Indeed, the job search engine www.indeed.com

Using the appropriate keywords you can find freelance jobs.

At the risk of being redundant, yes indeed, Indeed.com is a very useful tool not limited to freelance writing jobs but web developing projects or whatever other freelancing opportunity matching your skills ;)

Thx for the wonderful additions! I haven't been able to figure out how to edit the original post to add them on, but I'm sure anyone who's interested will see Deb's and the Indeed links.
