I officially released this directory on 1th February. The visitors of Xigcl Directory are increasing rapidly day-by-day. Currently Xigcl Directory has more then 10225 active and 600 pending links, it has accomplished this in less than 3 months! Despite the fact that I don't accept adult sites, sites with stupid or no description or title; or if the URL of the site is too long. Even though, I managed to get about 10k links in the directory. The directory has more then 66 categories! The name of this directory is very short and brand able as it is a PR2 domain.

It gets around 200 submissions a day. The script is phpLD 3.1; script license not included. This script makes it very easy to approve or reject links, easy to ban an IP or address if necessary. It comes with a little template collection which you can use if you want. This script's administrator area will also allow you to easily click and choose the templates of your choice.

Proof of traffic is listed below, with detailed monthly and daily stats starting from February...

As for revenue, I did not bother putting any Google ads on my website. The main reason for this is because whenever I put those ads, my traffic starts to shift over to other directories, and I refuse to allow that. The only source for revenue for this directory at the moment is by featured or yearly links. I sold a total of 42 featured links, 10 of them in this month, so you could imagine how much potential this directory has. People don't just buy links for one month, they sometimes come and purchase for long periods of time because the price is very cheap for such a great site. You can put Google ads if you like, but i don't trust them.

From February when it started, it has made about $40.00 from Featured Links. I sell them at $0.99, so if you increase the price the might go down but the revenue would increase.

I also sold partner links for this site once $5.00 per link which is pretty low. You can decide your own prices.

I did not advertise the site very much, as you can see from its age. If you are willing to advertise this website, then your traffic will increase for sure.

What do you mean exactly wiyh "script license not included"? We can use the script only with this directory, isnt it?

 

Yes you can, except you wont be able to update it. I havent either, takes a while.
You can use the script but cant update.
