What is better forum or blog?

1) We like to know what is better to get more traffic, Blog or forum?
2) what is better to increase link popularity, blog or forum?

Please advise if forum which forum? and blog which blog? and for what above number 1 or 2 or both?

Both are good if supports seo-friendly urls.

Yeah, for laziness, go for a forum.
Of course, with me and the readings I have done on forums, not too much money, so don't expect to get rich.

To force yourself to do something every day, go for a blog.
A bit more money with blogs.

That question is kind of like comparing anti-lock brakes and soft serve ice cream.

Each have there own advantages and disadvantages, but are rather hard to compare. Both only work if you know how to use them.

 

Depends.. But to run a good forum you will need a lot of people to write on it to get something out on it. A blog dont need so many writers to get good pr.

So i guess in short term blog is best and can give you a good pr.In the long term a forum with a lot of writers (like this) is the best, since it gives a lot of postings and content..

So maybe do both?

PR wont bring you traffic
Content will not create you PR in and of iteself

Forums tend to be a lot of work to get going and keep going. They also seem to have a lower CTR then a blog would. It is also not as easy to depict content and target keywords on a forum.

 

I love forums but its easyer to monetize a blog IMHO

Thanks to all. Some people answer right and some had diffrent understanding about my question. Neighter I want to run blog site nor forum. I was asking that is good to build link popularity and traffic from this (digitalpoint forum) kind forum, We know how to work on forum.

What about blog, can we do something like forum, like go to blog and write news or information same as the way we all make new post or reply anyone post.

Please can i have some more info on blog, how can we build traffic from blog. any good blog with good traffic that will help a directory to bring more traffic.

If you have a good traffic on your blog and right topic(if you want promote web directory, write about website prommoting...), you can get a lot of traffic form blog.
