I got 3300 visits from a Porn/Virus site which i dont know ,can this penalize me?

I checked awstats of my hight traffic site , I checked the referral sites and i found that i got 3300 visits from a porn site which i dont knowabout it ..and i never seen .
when i vistsed that page i got a wrining that this site conain viruses .
I dont know what is happening as i dont know this site ...
Im affaid that I will got penalized for getting this type of indesired traffic .

anyway passed the same experience ?

If getting visitors from Porn/Virus site sites would penalize, then people will start putting their competitors links on Porn/Virus sites in order to get them penalized.

You shouldn't get penalised. Something like this happened with one of my sites and I experienced no penalty.

Did you verify that the porn/virus page actually has a link to your site? I'm guessing that it doesn't and those "visits" are the work of a bot. It's called referrer spam. I'd ban the referrer with .htaccess in that case - it's just wasting your bandwidth and cluttering up your referrer logs.

It is only very annoying, your stats have spammy visits, distracting you from your own. And all in all such traffic is useless... The only thing that would penalize you is -------> linking back to that site

I don't know but are you just being arrogant with what you experience or just playing dumb about it? we all know that none will be penalized with how many traffic you drive or even how many one way links your site has...

It's referrer spam. Chances are javascript did not load and adsense would not detect it as a visit. Regardless, adsense will not penalize you for this.

If you keep getting traffic from that bad site, block them in .htaccess.
