Mesothelioma = DEAD

I'm running a page about mesothelioma to test the click values. This keyword is completely dead on Adsense at least. I got two clicks today, I got a mere $0.33 for each click. It seems that this market is highly flooded. Also, my keywords are incredibly focused at "Mesothelioma" and every ad has Mesothelioma or Asbestos in the link name.

For now I will leave it up for a bit, anyone have any suggestions for good adsense values? I was looking at travel.

Douu u shouldn't try $$$$keywords on "content less" site. Google might send u "We realized that your site is potentially harmful to our advertisers so we disabled your account."

Make a Health site e.g. "Slimming tips", "Exercise tips", "First Aid" etc categories then make a Big "Mesothelioma" section. That will be a site at least.

Adsense motto "Dont make site just to earn retinues" (bullshi*) lol

I've got an old Meso site, and yeah it's been dead for quite some time. Your 33c clicks will probably drop even lower.

And yes mines a quality site, a few hundred unique pages, good design and it displays good ads such as Asbestos Lawyers but it just doesn't pay like the good old days.

Over the years, the mesothelioma has lost its sheen and earning potential...
Because of excess competition for that keyword or less adwords people willing to pay lower amount for it?

The bottomline is "Dont chase the monkeys" :D

People still do not realise the very basic foundation of adsense and how you earn from it. If you want to earn long term then you MUST have a site that gets targetted visitors and BUYERS. Yes, people must buy something off your ad clicks or else advertisers wont be paying you $$$. This is the stage often called as "Smart pricing".

Advertisers aint running a charity organisation on adsense to pay you for any crap clicks everyday. They want you to give them business and if u aint giving that. You are gonna gets 1-5 cents.

hope the newbies learn from your experience.

Yes $3-5 clicks were pretty normal at one stage.

It's the whole Supply Vs Demand thing, at first there wasn't many sites covering this niche so advertisers had to bid it out and pay a premium to appear on the sites.

When the web got flooded with Mesothelioma sites, there became way more pages and ad slots then advertisers so advertisers could bid less and less to be seen. Also because a lot of sites were rubbish and didn't send quality leads it became non-viable to pay a premium for traffic that wasn't converting.

Now getting clicks over 50c is pretty rare, i get a lot of clicks and they average only 28c so exactly like your thread title says.. The niche is dead.

Don't be fooled, there's still tons of money to be made with Mesothelioma. There is a growing demand for meso lawyers as many are just starting to develop symptoms and are considering suing (Mesothelioma symptoms can appear 10-15 years after exposure to asbestos). The secret with this keyword is that you have to target it at a local level. That's where the lawyers are bidding, and where people are getting the outrageous $40 clicks. What kind of lawyer would be interested in paying $40 click on "mesothelioma" when he can bid the same amount on a keyword more targeted towards his/her practice (ie. Florida mesothelioma attorney). It's not that the market has become saturated, but rather that people don't know what to go after. Putting aside whatever you may have heard, mesothelioma is still very much alive.

Too many people just got into the niche and flooded it. It went down hill from there.

I checked and see that mesothelioma has more than 10,000,000 results. So much for so small a niche.

You have to wonder. 90% of that is definitely MFAs.

Anything with around 10,000,000 results means there are just too many people.

And getting more by the day. Well in case you all want to know, loans pay very high....

    Anyone interested? :D

Actually mesothelioma still pays high. There are ways to get this. Opening a mediocre or crap site will not get this though.

You think about it, Ashley Qualls makes $50-70,000 a month in Adsense. And what is her niche?? It's more or less similar to what everyone is complaining about. Most of her visitors are teenagers. Logically, how much do you think their clicks will get?

    Think about it.
