When I go to www.google.com which is my homepage it automatically redirects me to my custom homepage at http://www.google.com/ig?hl=en where I get the error you see in the attached image. In fact if I put that (http://www.google.com/ig?hl=en) directly into my browser I get the same error. Do I actually have a virus or is this an error with Google? Thing is in Mozilla this isn't happening. Only IE.
Now firefox is doing it as well.... It only happens when I'm logged in though. WHen I log out of Google I'm fine.
I'm getting it at my house and at my office. Its some sort of spam filtering screw up. The ig?hl=en means that you are using the google personal page, and not the standard homepage. You might try clearing your cookies out and see if it goes away. I think its an internal problem, so I doubt that anything is really going to help until google fixes it.
Yeah I'm behind a .mil proxy so either they were doing something to our proxy locally that Google didnt like or it's like you said, it was a google issue. Either way it went away today when I logged in.
When google gets hit with 'too many' queries from teh same IP address, they suspect an automatic program is doing it; so to conserve resources, they do human checks after a point. hth, tom
