Adwords & Clickbank

    Hello DP members.

I've got a question about using direct linking in Adwords, being a Clickbank affiliate.

Let's say if you want to promote a competitive product, with high gravity, it's obvious that you will have display url competition, and I want to avoid that.

One option to avoid display url competition is to create landing pages. However, if I don't want to create landing pages/product review sites, is there any other way, that I can use direct linking and avoid the competition of display url?

I know this is not what you want to hear, but with a landing page you can pay around $0.05 instead of $1 per click just by having your own link... so registering a domain for $7 and creating a simple landing page is well worth it... + if you collect leads you'll be able to make money over and over, trust me, I didn't believe it until I saw it with my own eyes...literally had me flabergasted when I realized what I'd been missing!

So, don't be lazy, but reap the rewards for many, many years to come instead!

To answer your question you can use "a slight misspelling" first time around until they slap you... then you can try other things, but in general a landing page is well, well worth it... I know the temptation is HUGE to go for direct linking, but it's just getting dollars for dollars.. instead turn nickels into dollars by adding 1 page online... your choice.

Mine or his? Mine is www.lazymilliondollars.com an AdWords guide that's practically better than most ones I've seen, because I created it and understand it well it feels like that to me, but ALSO I've had 1 refund ever from a person how returned it 10 minutes after buying.. which is totally "scam alert".. I've taught people on MSN to make money with AdWords and they loved it =) Their lives have changed.

How long have you been doing internet marketing?

    Whats your background?

What industries have you dabbled in?

What major clients have you managed?

Who have you mentored that is of notable success?

I hate to call people out, but you talk a lot of talk, and we have seen many here who attempt to do this, but really don't know as much as they think they do.

Plus those who tend to do a lot of talking tend to mislead and teach improper or ancient methods of PPC campaign structuring and management, leading to hundreds more questions and problems and it leaves many accounts trashed and destroyed.

Your posts seem more like a big exaggeration of how great you are by getting 8 leads for $1 and your posts seem like a marketing attempt to promote your squeeze page, so you can probably build up your marketing list, so you can sell them some crappy marketing ebook and other products.

As of now, you are on my caution list, and I will call you out on all blatant, incoherent statements and claims made to this forum

TO ALL FORUM READERS, PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN READING HIS POSTS.

    Well Rob people need advice.

I wanted advice from you. But you didn't get back to me once after a week.

So i will take Chris's advice. And hopefully it works.

Its more believable than the 0.01 you said in another thread. Because that would be perfect adwords, profit. Possible though, not saying you can't do it.

Ok, one more thing I wanted to know....I see many people using similar domains to the product they promoting, for example.....Let's say a product called Rocket Spanish. The real website is www.rocketspanish.com, however, some people use www.rocket-spanish.com, and when you click on the ad it lands on the original page.....HOW?

Landing page url has to match the display url, but in this case it's different....unless the advertisers masks the url.......is that possible? Does it work that way?

Use a simple 301 redirect, but with googles new rules, the display url has to be the same as the one the user sees.

Sorry I was not able to give you the level of service you requested, not respond as quickly as you liked, but I get a dozen requests to view accounts a day, and I attempt to work with everyone as much as possible.

I reviewed your campaign and as I explained, you have a lot of work to do. Mostly business model, site design and goals. The way you are currently setup will not exactly work for affiliate marketing and what you are trying to accomplish.

If you want some more advice, I am willing to work with you, but patience is a virtue...

Nicely put, Rob. I've been watching this guy's posts. He's obviously trying to build a list, which is fine. However, I, too, was bewildered when he said that he wants to teach after managing to secure "8 leads with $1 adspend", or whatever it was. Surely, one needs more credentials than that?

ChrisStigson, show us some of your work. How do you qualify as a mentor? How's your product better than the gazillion others?

You state on your squeeze page that you reveal in your e-book how anyone can ". . . easily start making $500-$1000+ a day without any prior experience . . ." That's sheer, deceitful exaggeration to say the least.

Not sure about the '301' thing.

For affiliate link, use simple piece of code (I can give it to you).
Create the 'index.php' using that. Then your new URL is actually
your aff.link. When visitors click on www.top-product.com they
are taken to www.topproduct.com via your link. Looks great!

For a straight redirect (from one URL to another) set it up in
cpanel. Go to addons, you will see it there.

    Regards,

Thanks for that. I didn't know that it's so simple to avoid display url competition. Just get a domain and forward it to your hoplink ;)

Now I am thinking about which products to promote and keywords. I had an idea about bidding on only on brand keywords (for example Rocket Spanish), but it doesn't seem to work for me. However, I know people who are making money this way.

Another problem is that only high gravity products, has a well-known brand, but CPC for them is probably really high...That's why I am confused, what to do.
