Folks, I recently started a new blog http://www.dollarshower.com/. Please review the same for :- - Overall theme/template looks including banner, font type/size, colors - Ad density (is it too much or less?) - Information accessibility - Anything else out of your experience Thanks a lot in advance Ajith, Bangalore http://www.DollarShower.com/ http://www.ajithprasad.com/ http://pavilionendse.blogspot.com/
looks pretty good imo, however maybe there are a little too many ads on the homepage? i like what you did with the studiopress theme, i almost used it myself for one of my blogs
Thanks king...somehow, I don't get complete satisfaction on the color combo, especially after I changed a lot from the default template. Ajith
i think the texture around the search box at the top doesn't fit in, make it a solid blue color or gradient
It looks very professional. But you improve the logo file bgbodynew.jpg. You should try to recreate it in gif format. And try get rid of that sky beneath the search box. I don't think you need it.
Thanks folks Any thoughts on the font?? I have verdana for contents and arial for tags, sidebar links etc. The problem I am facing is that I made too many changes from the stock template that I lost track of colors and fonts Regards, Ajith
I did try to make it a gif sometime back, but lost some colors in the process... will try again Ajith
Get rid of "Grab your rss fee". You don't need it. Move "D$comparotr ...." somewhere else. Create a nice block for it under the welcome block. And you should consider recreate the banner in .gif. Give it a try. Compare the file size and everything.
I like the font as it is because it's easy to read. I would only change it if you find one that makes the site look cleaner and easier to read. The only thing I don't like about the site is the ads in the middle of the posts. It takes my attention away from the writing and doesn't relate exactly, for instance I'm reading about free traffic and the ads are for TV's and DVD players. Other then those specific ads I like the site, looks good.
Did you make this tool yourself?: http://www.dollarshower.com/tools/compare.php If so, that is great! Stumbled.
