Recently, I purchased a forum that does per per post and I don't really like the idea. It does seem to be helping driving new members in either. In the past 3 weeks that own it, I was able to recruit 40 new members and I'm thanks to some of the members referral. The question is, if I turn this forum into revenue sharing could it help increase the interest for people joining. Does revenue sharing only really works with webmaster boards because of the background knowledge of their audience? Thanks
I own a revenue sharing forum, but as it is a webmaster forum it is innrelevant with your case. As you say your forum is not relative to webmasters, so I would advice you not to make it rev share as only webmasters are interesting in that and even them not so much because everyone knows that forums have very low CTRs.
do you/anyone think we have enough webmaster forum out here? The reason I brought the site was really for the license. It seem like everywhere i turn, there is a webmaster forum.
Hi Saidev, You're right in that there are a lot of webmaster forums, but that doesn't mean there isn't room for more. In a competitive market, the spoils go to the business that provides the best product, and forums provide a lot of opportunities to create competitive advantages. Focus on developing a sense of community amongst your membership, and I'm sure you'll do well. Sam
