Depends if the feature story is a good one or bad one.

You should be fine with Adsense since the traffic will be legit.

Maybe you want to reduce the ads for a while so that more people bookmark your site and you get more external links, but you'd miss out, obviously, on a few good days of earnings. Long term is better than short term though.

These are my stats from when my site hit CNN. I only made 200 dollars each of the peak days because my adsense wasn't "tuned" at the time. Not only did it hit CNN but about 35 affiliate markets as well.
