Here is a list of UK directories. The list has both free and paid directories I'm afraid although many of the free ones are noted.
The one we're developing here is > http://www.directorycritic.com/uk-directory-list.html with around 350 directories of UK. Hope that helps. We're also building .edu, UK, US, Ca and Australian directories soon.
