I wanted to try bum marketing and make some MONEY. I've submitted some articles to ezines and article-gems and they have been up about two weeks. Today I made a sale and it had to come through my blog on making money online. The product was rich jerk. So you know what I'm going to do now - double the amount of submitted articles.
That's the idea - My clickbank account's up to $250 - I've set a bar to $5000 - when I reach it - me and my family going on a cruise - YEH BABY! Any advice on how to get there faster would be greatly appreciated.
If I weren't so lazy and happy with making a few hundred dollars a day, I would be making thousands by now... Lol All you have to do is find something that works and scale it!!!!!!!! That's all there is to it. Alstar70 you have the right approach, time to scale times 20, 30, 40, 50.
The blog looks ok. Cloak your Clickbank hoplinks. BTW, you can find lots of useful information about blogging on www.tips-for-new-bloggers.blogspot.com
Software can steal sales on affiliate links. People also do not like to see affiliate link and click less.
rcj662 said it all. Basically, you don't have to cloak your links, but all experienced marketers suggest to do so. Your link looks better if it's cloaked, especially if you are using HTML or PHP cloaking. You can also do quick and simple cloaking using: www.cloakreferer.com or www.tinyurl.com
DON'T CLOAK YOUR LINKS! Redirect them instead. I use a recommends folder... Like http://yourwebsite.com/recommends/productxyz First of all, link cloaking is against CB TOS, I think. Maybe. lol. Second of all, there's a known problem with cookies if you cloak the links. People clicking through your links might not get the 60 day cookie... Which means that if they return to the site later, you won't be credited. This could make you lose A LOT of sales, as the majority of people generally needs to have been to a site about 7 times before buying. So redirect, don't cloak. Simply use a php redirect, put it in a directory named after the product, and name the php file index.php.
Once you start to see a few bucks use it on a good keyword search tool. Then use googles keyword tool for comparison. If I had one thing to say submit your best articles to ezine articles then to isnare and buy some credits for distribution but make sure you definitely use not rewritten but totally original articles there. Then submit articles to several of the more popular directories you may not see immediate results but you will get backlinks and clickthroughts. Try to make it goal to write a at least one article a day. After several articles and knowing about your niche a good unique 500 word article takes less than 30 minutes to write ... to be honest probably less if you know the niche and the longtail keywords that get traffic in the niche. Once you get up to 50-100 bucks a day it is just a matter of scaling up your activities and finding other methods beyond article marketing to increase your earnings! Gongrats and good luck!
lemonarian Basically, "cloaking" means "redirecting" When people say "cloak", they mean to "hide" an affiliate link, and if you cloak, the only way to do that is to redirect. Simple. And btw, Clickbank allows cloaking, actually, it recommends it in their Affiliates FAQ section. However, they don't allow frame cloaking.
I'm happy this week has been great for clickbank. Whenever I make a clickbank sales I check which program it was for - I then write another article for that program - feed on the success as it were - reward the winners and try to get even more income. I thought bum marketing might not work because the internet is so huge that there is just too much competition not matter how selective in your title you are and I had written over 100 articles previously with limited success - however I hadn't linked it into a specialized blog - but I like writing (i.e. I talk too much) - I type at 50 words a minute so article marketing is what I want to do. I think the blog making money online reviewed was in a difficult market to make any money and some on DP warned against it, but I guess I'm slowly proving them wrong. I've have a $50 week, now to aim for a $100 week, and then keep pushing the limit. Maybe talking too much in class was good practice for a profitable outlet. I don't write articles with a focus on keywords - I don't believe focusing on keywords alone produces a good article - I do try to have a good title and then just let the article naturally follow - I believe the search engines will rewards a natural article - otherwise its not a very good search engine if you can pull the wool over its eyes. I also write articles on topics that don't at all relate to the affiliate product - like on travel, etc because these subjects interest me, traffic is traffic - obviously targeted is better - but I'd prefer quantity. All thoughts? I've also got to try some bulk mailing and analysis those results.
Congrats on this mate. Definately a great motivation tool with what you did with the minimum payout. Just scale it. If you are submitting 10 articles a day, outsource the work and submit 100 a day.
Congrats, article marketing is a very good method. Yesterday article, which was written more then 7 month ago generated a sale. It is amazing
