I wanna learn PHP Where Should i start from ?

Hi Everyone

I'm very desperate to learn PHP

I have 3 months of holidays so in this period i wanna learn something good

Can anyone tell me where should i start from ?

This is where I started as well. If you don't already have it installed, I'd suggest installing XAMPP (ApacheFriends.org) and using that as a server, since it runs locally on windows/linux, and works beautifully.

 

Or you can install PHPTriad, it's run well too

 

If you want to read Book Look for "PHP & MySQL" from Visual Blueprint Written by Janet Valade.

I suggest getting books as they are a lot better for explaining things.
To test out your php functions/scripts you can use XAMPP which is a small little web server you can set up on your computer to test your websites out.

If you do not want the books you can try W3Schools.com

I have installed XAMPP and using W3Schools......i have looked most of it.....is there any place from where is can get a closer to PHP

which can help me to make a small PHP script ?

 

rtfm mate - in this case it's a gold mine, c+p the examples on each page, run them, fiddle about with them, try all the params of the function your trying then move on, you'll be making scripts within the week and making sellable within the month.

 

w3schools.com is a great resource for programming. You could learn PHP there.

 

a)First go and learn Php in w3schools.com

b)If you do n't have Php server ,install Xampp in your system at home

c)Then try executing php scripts you have learnt

Also create new ones for different tasks and execute it and also search www.php.net for more functions... and learn it

If you have some programming background I mean C,C++ etc. You can learn PHP easily just in 2 months.
You can use wamp server to test PHP scripts/functions. I will recommend you to use dreamweaver which is easy and friendly.

 

These books are not free to download.

 

Buy it using your $$$

I never said it is FREE .. I DID say this is GOOD BOOK.... If you dun want to buy don't bother it... it is your choice to study as you wish...
