I would recommend Dreamweaver even if you are a newbie. Try some tutorials, learning the basics of html and css. It's a great wysiwyg editors and pretty much easy-to-use even if you have never used it before. It just takes patience and passion for what you doing.

Backlinks are incoming links to a website or web page. The number of backlinks is an indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page. In basic link terminology, a backlink is any link received by a web page, directory, website, or top level domain from another one.

Okei, gonna try out MS web..

I understand almost what a back link is, is it just a link to www.oil-central.com
and it docent matter where the F it is, in my signature on face book for an example ?

Or is it like a "home button" on the oil-central.com with link to oil-central.com ?

Shitty , it hurts being a damn nub :(

Backlinks are incoming links to a website or web page. The number of backlinks is an indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page. In basic link terminology, a backlink is any link received by a web node (web page, directory, website, or top level domain) from another web. Backlinks are also known as incoming links, inbound links, inlinks, and inward links.

I would use Dreamweaver but to be fair, starting with templates is not very good! I have been asked many times to edit templates but I refuse to do it as it is just too much effort.

You can edit the CSS and change the colours etc but sometimes if you don't recognise somebody elses code it is quite complicated.

Take a look here for Dreamweaver Tutorials to start you off with a basic CSS layout. Once you have something like that you can then take a look at things like CSS Styled List Menus which will then add something nice to the site and just generally improve.

I am the same with PHP, I can only edit code but if somebody asked me to write it from scratch I would have no idea where to start, although I wish I could.

Take the time to learn how to use your own code as it will get easier and make more sense :)
