Alexa Ranking has changed - do you like the new alexa ranking?

Just checked my alexa rank and found it changed drastically. But then, I saw this announcement from Alexa. I made a post on it here as well.



What do you feel about the new ranking system anyway?

yup a good news or bad news, alexa seems improve there algorithms, anybody can share how this tool bar works?

We now aggregate data from multiple sources to give you a better indication of website popularity among the entire population of Internet users.

its it they try to compete with google Pagerank?
anyway my alexa rank also change, and if alexa works really do for advertiser indicator its show me have another mission now lol

So many sites' ranks have decreased by up to 3-4 folds. Incredible, although it may be a glitch as the new algorithm is still new.

i think it still use tools bar for getting data, and how about spider?
usually what do we suggest to alexa before the change?

As i know i see change in Alexa ranking once in a week & it is just sloppy means little bit UP & Down. But today i saw some big changes in Alexa ranking for my sites. Some got better ranking while some got bad. But it is very interesting to know that Alexa trying to improve.

I was in the 33k's or so, now it's 75k

I am in wait and see condition..let's hope new algorithm will support me...

But they are not updating my thumbnails and showing 5 months old thumbnails till now..When I update it, they say it will be now updated in 24 hours but won't change in 24 days also.

Alexa's been always like that mate. Don't worry it will be updated but they usually take weeks to update once you have submitted your thumbnail

My directory is doing astonishingly better with the new algo. But from what I have learned is this only a temp thing.

Mines gone from around 45k to 36k. I'm not settling on this though, I think there will be some changes soon, as some sites have suffered more than they should (if at all).

my ranking does not changed much, but i wait for a detail explanation about new algorithm of Alexa.

I was in 49k and now in 26k.
I am quite happy with their new algorithm
