Blogger redirect question!

Hey there,
I have a PR3 blog that attracts about 200 visitors each day, I use blogger for this. http://your-local-surf.blogspot.com
I have recently purchased a domain name www.yourlocalsurf.com as I have grown tired with the blogger platform.
My question is: If I forward the Blog to my new domain in say a subdomain like www.blog.yourlocalsurf.com will the links and rank from the blog be transferred to my www.yourlocalsurf.com domain?

yes you can do permenant redirection for the same.

 

If you move or redirect the content of your-local-surf.blogspot.com to www.blog.yourlocalsurf.com, Google will drop PR of your-local-surf.blogspot.com to zero in 1-3 months later. And also you need to manually increase PR of www.blog.yourlocalsurf.com like your-local-surf.blogspot.com that you optimized. So you need to consider....

Yeah, use a 301 redirect, if its possible with blogger.

 

Yes, you can put a 301 redirect on blogger to your page or you can also create a custom domain (using your new domain) on you blogger account if you want to continue updating your blog on your new domain using blogger

The PR is only confined to that particular subdomain, and will not transferred to the main domain.

i dont think that the page rank will transfer to your new domain so keep your page rank 3 and dont lose it

 

You can redirect the pr from one domain to another. Google it. There's plenty of ways to do it.

 

Yep. Tried this before. You won't be able to transfer your PR. Had to revert back to my blogger account and then create a new blog

 

Moved from my blogspot to its own domain and rebuilt PR to the original one.
