I normally don't solicit for diggs. I posted a pretty cool video on digg yesterday, hosted on YouTube. Less than 10 minutes after posting, YouTube went down for maintenance and most the diggers were less than interested. YouTube is back up and I'm trying again. So, if you read the article and like what you see, please feel free to digg it. (And for those of you who don't have digg memberships, or could care less, you can see this flying raft I originally posted here.) I welcome your feedback here too, of course.
Mr Crow <<<< scratches head and says " I looked but dont understand how I can use this to promote my site and get diggs too" If I wanted to get diggs to my site www.Ezinecrow.com , what would I do at www.digg.com? << learning here sorry
Thanks everyone! I'm hoping to get one of these this summer and take some good videos of it myself. Mr Crow - digg is a voting site. If you like a story, you click on "digg it". With enough votes, the story makes it to the front page. Sounds like you got it figured out though. Thanks again all!
Well I didnt know you would make it to the front page .. but know I do and will ask my friends on my messenger list to give you some as a favor
Too cool. Thanks mrcrow. To digg an item, you simply click the "digg it" image by headline, underneath the number of diggs it has received.
I am sorry for seeming stupid about the termanology about what a DIGG is but I just got flamed in a thread about not knowing what a digg was!!! The person claims that because I am a so called expert on article marketing "his words" that I should know what a digg is .... Guess thats the price of not being the member of a bunch of forums and learning all the terms - but I did take the time to ask my friends to help out and digg it for Ya ... hope it helped
Sorry to hear that. That is one of the downsides to digg (and fark, and slashdot, and newsvine, and wikipedia for that matter). They are a bunch of elitists and because some of them have been a member of the site for a long time, they feel they have the right to insult others who have not. Too bad there isn't a "not everyone in the world knows about digg.com, and they sure don't care that you've been there since day 2" article of warning to new members. Don't let it get you down. You are new to the community and it reflects poorly on the entire community when you are flamed for not knowing about the community. I look sites like this as a private country club. Some people are quite about their membership to the club, while others obsess over it as a status symbol. If your one of those obsessive types and no one has even heard of your country club, it really doesn't mean anything to them and you sound like a sap. This actually happened to me when I moved to vegas. My realtor was really offended that I didn't know about some of the more wealthy neighborhoods and country clubs. The whole time I'm thinking "I don't care, I just want a house to live in".
Lol good point - I found some cool stuff on there though and I think it helps a little to keep the country club attitude because they keep the quality up there! Thanks for inviting me to your country club -lol - Tennis anyone?
