Well, I'm selling my flagship site

Unfortunately I'll be starting university this coming september and I will be going pre-med, which means no-life. So I'm going to sell this site while I still have time to think about it and help out in it's transfer.

This site is not promoted anywhere, and does not have advertising. I tried some cheap $10 links, but it was more for PR. Those have expired about 2 months ago.

The domain was registered late September 2005, the actual site started taking off a month later.

The layout is unique, the backend is vBulletin with vBseo and Movable Type

Adsense ranges from $800-$1400 a month.

Something weird happened on Apr. 26, but I made 80+ dollars on that day from adsense.

There are 2 subdomains which get about 1000k uniques daily.

and I used to sell links for about $20 a month, had about 5 buyers, I've since stopped promoting that.

How long has it been earning nice $?
If you say it ranges from $800-$1400 a month then your initial asking price is waaay too high, don't you think?

Where is traffic coming from? Any good words ranked at engines?

Who edits or updates the content? Do you have any staff onboard?

 

January, February, March and April were all over $1000

I started webmastering in September of 2005...this was my first site The first month I made, 12 bucks, second, 200, third, 400, fouth, 600 and so on.

Traffic comes from a few blogs, news sites, as well as mentions on television and other venues.

I have a staff of about 5 members who moderate and update the sections. It takes about...20 minutes to update daily...I tend to hang around because I find the stuff interesting

Most forums I see being sold are well on their way to be dead. I have 18 new registrations and it's only been 3 hours today.

 

Its out of my budget, but i would like to add that its a great buy/investment for anyone who has that kinda money.

BTW, images on homepage are not showing up, some minor issue i guess.

 

At this price, dont you need to lay out the busienss proposition? What I mean is you state the income clearly but no costs? What about the 5 staff? etc.

Hmm thanks for that...It's got something to do with Htaccess, people were hotlinking - I guess I don't have it up right.

All you have to do is host it. It's run by very kind volunteers.
