Yahoo announced the release of AMP in a press release today.
You can read more about it here.

What do you think the program will be like?

Looks interesting, but I fear it will not see the light of day if Microsoft takes over before then.

Isn't Google's income more than 50% from adsense and adwords?
What if Yahoo takes over... and Google becomes Yahoo.

Is it still confined to publishers in US, but not worldwide?

I hope it'll be worldwide.. I really need an alternative to Adsense. My earnings with them are really low :(

Is there going to be any room for the little guy or is this only going to be for big publishers?

The big guys better start a diet then.
If Yahoo only allows big publishers then there will be a lot of people leaving Yahoo or loosing interest in it seeing as they don't care for the small publishers.

Well if adbrite dies because of this, I'm sure that Google will start to fade away too. And if yahoo kills adsense then it's over for Google.
    What do you think?

It looks interesting but is it good enough to give adsense some real competition?
