    hello all

i had a deal couple of hours ago with user named randan at namepros chat. i have sold him 4 domain names for the sum of 170$

    pkpp.net
    wsww.net
    pussypink.net
    ntoy.net

he payed me by paypal and i pushed the domains to him at dynadot.

hour after i pushed the domains i looked at my paypal account and have seen that this money is on hold for unauthorised transfer

i talked to a user named widedesigns and he told me that he got scammed by that user in the same time i did

    beware of that randan scammer
if u see those domains somwhere please inform me thanks

    his paypal name is:
    Francis Camarota

i just made a whois search for the domains and got some more details about the guy

so meaning can't you get your domains back?

What is the way it should be?

Can anyone get "hold" the payment after he paid the amount?

I think if the sender has verified account, He can not get it hold or refund the money. Am I correct?

If someone knows the way how it is happening, can you inform us for future referans?

btw, I am sorry to hear that solokkhz

Yes contact Dynadot. I had 3 of my domains stolen some time ago and they got them back for me. It was a long process though, but worth it. They'll only do it once, that's what they told me.

Thats why paypal is useless when dealing with xxx amount...Its really getting hard to do domain business. How to trust? We are dealing in xxx/xxxx figures without knowing to whom we are dealing...
You should contact the regtar and tell them that your accout been hacked and get your domains back...

    Sorry to hear about that!
Initially I too was duped by a scammer for $120 when I was new on DP. Though I had escalated the issue with PP but that scammer account didnt had any money in it.

I would like to know how it had happened as someone who transfered the money can put that on hold saying unauthorised transfer when he himself had done the transfer.

    Regards,

    Gonzo

Sorry to hear about your loss.... Only thing I can say is we all have to be much more careful these days.... Unfortunately, Paypal is not making life any easier to domainers.

Sorry to hear that this happend to you.

You are not alone. Please report the stolen domain names on DP, here:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=706452

The title says GoDaddy names but I think all stolen names should be listed there.

I hope your future deals are alot better,
    GG

Sorry to hear happened to you. i too was scammed before 2 months for all my godaddy domains. but fortunetely i got back.

nowadays i do the following steps before i push the domains.

    1) Send 4-10 digit pin number to buyer paypal email id and ask them to confirm the pin number by replying.
    2) Push the domain after 24 hours upon payment received. (you can add this message in you sales thread also.)

Which can be saves you from domain scammers.
