Hello everyone, A few months ago I've launched this website for European creatives: http://www.creativeurope.eu Due to some personal problems I've fallen behind with the updates, so I know that this is probably the main issue to fix now. I would really like to hear your opinion on this website, no matter the area (from speed to graphics, misspelling). Any opinion is valuable and helpful because I want to improve the site. Quite a clean website... I was just thinking whether you might want to put in some interesting header or logo to further attract your readers. You might also want to consider adding in some color to your background so that it might not look too plain... Hope it helps. Cheers! Patrick
Hello and thank you both! @Patrick, this is minimal, I design style I'm very attached to lately. White I like. ) This website has been featured in a few respected design galleries from its launch date. A logo, it has. That the logo does not use a symbol, it's another thing of personal taste I guess. A header I won't use since this site should focus on the content part with 3 actions to follow (from left to right): pick a country, chose a designer, see his work. This way, I'm reserving images only for artists' works. Thank you very much for your suggestions. If they don't match with mine, it doesn't mean they are not appreciated!

Hey! A site with an introduction message. I don't believe it, good job. Couple of things. Your site has a great deal of content, a lot of that in text format. When this is the case two things should occur. Easy to read text, and easy navigation. Your text is very small, and is also low in contrast. In regards to navigation, menu wise, I think you did well. Hyperlink coloring needs help though. Have links change color after visitor looks at that page, and keep it that way. It should work similar to this site DP. It's easy to tell what threads you read here, because the color change, and loss of emphasis occurs. Studies from multiple sources have found that the change in hyperlink color is a primary method of navigation to most website visitors. You have to remember most visitors don't have the site memorized like you do.
Clean and nice design, However i think the text it too small, and the website could use a more eye catching header.
Hello guys! Thanks for all your suggestions! I think that at this time, the text-size and header will remain this way. As I said earlier, I don't need an "eye catching header" since i need people to do other things than stare at the header. It's a "text based navigation", from left to right, comes every step of the action on this site. I'll darken the main font a bit and play with the links' color. I don't think I'm going to use a different color for visited/active links. I really want all the links displayed in the same way. There could be other ways to keep a track of the user's visited profiles or his favorites. Actually, let's say that I'm pretty much ok with the design, which has been thought, rethought and discussed many time with some of the best in my country. Wouldn't change too much to it at this point. V2.0... maybe. Can we go a little into user experience. Features, functionalities that this site doesn't have and it should? I'm thinking about a membership system with a feature that allows users to set profiles as favorites, maybe select the front page profiles (the delights) from those favored? A comment system? So what do you think? Basically anything goes here, as this is a custom script wrote by me, not a framework/platform/etc.
Yes, I've fallen behind with the updates as I needed to focus on something else. Best promotion so far was the listing in some of the best CSS galleries around, like CSS Mania... I'll be doing some scouting on how to better promote it. Thanks.
Nice site i have some suggestion from design perspective but its my view... by keeping it simple give some grunge look on to or with logo not much just little it will change whole look ...if you say i can give examples Thanks , very nice site no doubt it!!!
