hey i got accepted into google Adsense just now... I placed a AD on my BPO Blog.... but the ads are so non- relevant...completely different from the topics on the page.... please help.. whats happeneing. adityabpo.blogspot.com regards Aditya
When I visit the page, I see ads for "Outsourcing" and "Risk Free Outsourcing." Those seem very relevant to your H1 tag.
Actually, your ads seem fairly relevant but it's blogspot/blogger so you'll get blog ads, due to the various blog-related text on page and I think most importantly because of the domain name. Also, geo-targeting can be a problem... depending on which country you're from you might not see many ads that are relevant. Anyway, try section targeting and put the targeting around each post content. This can be set by editing the template. Good luck.
It does. Domain and path *. It all depends if there's enough content (and keywords for link units) that adsense has ads for and geographic location. * When working on my site locally (adsense ads using ca-test pub-id), mediabot can't crawl so mostly PSAs are shown. However, in an ad unit the ads relate to the path.
If you don't know then you should read Terms & Conditions and Programme Policies. Do you have permission off the owners to provide links to torrents for these mp3s? If they are free to redistribute then put up a copyright notice/link to the owner's website with this notice.
And if the mp3s are free to redistribute then you're best checking with google, too, just to make sure. But it might be a good idea to remove the ads until you have confirmation off G. Good luck.
From what I gathered/understood when you first put adsense on a page, it begins by showing ads using only keywords in your page title and url and might not be very successful at it. Then when the adsense bots have time to crawl your page and index the content, you'll see more targeted ads on your blocks, it can take several hours for a bot to come crawl your page. Also, if you have in your page keywords that you don't want to be used by adsense, you can use google_ad_section_start and google_ad_section_end to select which content adsense should use for targeting Here is the page about that : https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=23168 You can only use it if you have a minimum control over your website's HTML, I don't know if it is the case in blogspot.
Put some relevant text above your first ad block -- inside of <h1> tags. Also, place some relevant text in <h2> tags elsewhere on your page. This will help with both ad relevance and SEO.
