    Hi

I have a ASP website which requires users to login before they can access the majority of the content. once they login a lifetime cookie is asigned to them so they never need to login again.

Is there a way to let the SE bots index the content?

    thanks

Hi I think you first need to disable the permanent cookies and need to set a timeframe for session varriable to expire. It will help SE's to bot frequently.

I have a similar question. If alot of my content is pasword protected or "members only" how can i get the search engines to still index that content. Use of abstracts?

Just use userg agent to identified the SE and let free for them, But all the users what know that trick will be able to access your site without cookies/ passwords.
