    Have they possibly penalized you?

So What Have I Done Wrong Now Google?

He seems to have considered all sorts of possibilities as to why there has been such big fluctuations. Although PR may not be a huge concern for many of us, it is still a measurement of success.

Here's his thoughts on using paid reviews. He stated that the links are not crawled because of settings in the robots.txt.

Why do people continue to say that PR means nothing? It's important to Google, so why would someone think that it's useless? As long as something is important to Google, it's important to me, and to many other people.

Many people say page rank means nothing because page rank is
not directly related to traffic or search engine rankings. If I'm getting
a ton of traffic to my site I will not care whether it's page rank 3 or
    page rank 7?

Page rank is purely to show off in my opinion.

Yep.. PR now a days doesn't seem to be important. What matter most are the traffic that webmasters have generated. traffic means money.

Google was probably paying attention to his blog... otherwise how would he have got back his PR (sort of) after a few hours?

Pretty interesting to note that Andy Beard is one who isn't really all that particular about PageRank, and it is even rarer to hear him comment about it.
