I am in first page of Google but still no Traffic.

Hi

I launched my site http://www.pc-ip.com a month back
I am in 1st page, at 6th position.

The Keyword used: Check real IP
But I am not gaining traffic. is this because of unpopular keyword that I am using? or something else..

Suggestions are highly appreciated.

In most cases like this it's because of the keyword.

You should check popular keywords, and rank high in those, however sometimes it is hard to rank high in googd keywords.

 

Because the few people who search for this keyword are satisfied with what they get from the sites ranked 1 to 5

Keyword choice will drive traffic. In all probability most people are not searching for that keyword.

 

This may possible only due to the below reason

The keyword which you are trying is not typed by visitors. So you can overcome this problem by finding new keywords which are typed in google query search and that you can search by google adwords tool.

Nobody run a search for you keyword term. Go to word tracker and see what the traffic potential is for the keyword. It is rare that a new site would rank well for a keyword that has a lot of searches.

well,it's best that you check your keyword first before you target to rank for them so you do not waste resources in ranking for that keyword you want

Yea I think I am going to change it. But There aint no much content there. So How do I optimize this site: http://www.pc-ip.com with keywords Check IP, or Check my IP. There is not much content, so how do I do it?

Also, 2 days back I was in first page with "Check real IP" now I am in 3rd page. Does this mean I have been knocked out with that Keyword?

Any suggestions are highly appreciate and I am already thankful to all you guys who posted their suggestions.

It has something to do with the keywords that you are using. Ranking on top is worthless when the keyterms is not being searched. Better do some keyword analysis and research first before doing optimization

 

It has to be the keyword your ranked for.

 

Now you know . No need Keyword to get traffic.

 

its the keyword and how many people search for it and what other sites come up ahead of you. your keyword returns over 2million results which means there are people searching for it but since there are 5 more sites above you and they all are providing what visitors are looking for, it could be visitors who search the term find some site at the top that meet their need and dont need to browse any firther

 

The people might not be liking the Title and Description of your Website

 

You are on first page , thats correct but just check how many search happening on that Keyword,

Thats why when there is more number of searches more competition is there

 

Bed luck, your keyword is not in more competition so continue research in keyword analysis, i think you also submit some classified add and use some social book marking. i think you got traffic.
