2007 Dodge Caravan

My wife is wanting a new van. Right now we are leaning towards the Honda Odyssey, BUT I have read that Dodge is redesigning their caravan to all new in 07. I have searched for info on this vehicle (pics, specs) but to no avail. Does anyone know how to find the information on up and coming vehicles? Seems Dodge kept a tight lid on this...

I like the Hondas a lot! And the Toyota Siennas are pretty sweet too. Probably expensive though.

I wouldn't get the Caravan though. Especially if it's going to be "all new." First year productions are usually shit! Although the Caravan has been around forever.

MPV's are supposed to be pretty nice. Or maybe the 7-passenger Tribeca?

    I love minivans!!!

so far the odyssey is the nicest we drove, also the most expensive... go figure. :) The Toyota was a complete pile of shit. STEAMING shit! rattly, cheap ass typical jap plasticky crap! I would have taken an 86 caravan over an 06 sienna,

Dodge invented the minivan, and I have a feeling that it may have features in an all new model that could be segment busting, like their previous redesigns have been.

Certainly from a reliability standpoint the Odyssey is the ultimate machine. But is the caravan has 10 times the innovation and features for 10g less..... well you get the idea..

Yeah, I walked into that! We had a Caravan when they first came out... Way back when, what was that like 84. It was the biggest POS ever. What a nightmare. Ended up getting an Astro in 87' and with 250,000 miles on it, we still use it in our business!

I'd get the Honda.. Of course a new Rover would be the shit. My buddy just got a new one, and I have to say, it is one nice ride. Way too much for my blood though.

But............ The newer Caravans are pretty much the most reliable vehicles on the road.... I really would like to find out more about the 07' if it is nicer than the oddysey.... We are really leaning towards the Oddysey, but man, $35,000.00 !!! I could buy a really nice 66' mustang for that! :D

    henny -

You couldnt GIVE me a Dodge Caravan.

I dont care what they have done to it. The history is TERRIBLE for this model. Transmission problems, underpowered engines, rust, etc.

Don't forget about the cooling system/radiator problems... Things may have changed, but the bad experience my folks have is ingrained in my mind forever. Don't get me wrong. I loved my Dodge Spirit. I paid $250 for it, and drove it for 5 years, until I was able to upgrade to my Olds. Then Olds decides to close up shop. Go figure.

I'd get the Mustang... Actually if I had to give my wife a choice of mini van vs. 69 Camaro, she would take the Camaro and call me daddy!

That's what I would think too. And I can't see the Toyota being shitty either.

My gramps has a 2002 Sienna and it's very nice. He's never had problems.

My mom has owned either a Lexus or Toyota since the early 90's. No problems and great performance.

Toyota's are also ranked the highest in reliabilty every single year!!!

IMO- Hondas are kind of crappy because their automatic transmissions are pretty rough switching gears. And Acuras are the most over-priced cars out there.

Well, your grandpa is very old, compared to a model T, I am sure it seems quite nice.

Your mom? well I wont go there....

Toyota?!? is paying Motor Trend under the table, just ask Tesla.

IMO- You type too much YMMV.

    Have a nice day :)
