Please don't take this as a critisizm, but purely as a question from a potential buyer:

Why is the bin so high, if the PR is zero and the site is 1 month old?
Also am I correct in understanding that the featured links are once off, so there is no guarantee that these people will renew, so there is no realy income for the buyer?

IMO the BIN for this site has been set commensurate with the work that has gone into creating it. You are buying a total package. Of course you could do all this yourself, but here is a quality directory ready to go.

 

And a sexy template on top of that

 

Thanks for your inquiry. Given the selling points of the sale, I feel I have set a reasonable BIN. I am not selling a newly developed directory which has the same directory submission database as many others out there.

Given there is close to 500 manual submissions accepted into the directory, this on its own is worth its weight in gold (as long as the submissions have been reviewed thoroughly to ensure a clean directory which I have).

If you were continue to work at it like I have, there is absolutely no reason why you couldn't continue to earn $40 in featured listing revenue each and every month. In actual fact, when the directory begins to show toolbar Pagerank I would suggest increasing the featured listing price to at least $5 as many webmasters would still see value there.

Don't forget there is also 55+ visitors to the site everyday, so if you were to explore other revenue streams as well, there would be other ways to monetize the traffic aswell.

It is worth mentioning the site has been found through the search engines using the term "epicdirectory" 4 times this month already. Goes to show the directory is already beginning to brand itself.

 

Kind of looks like digg.

I'm not bashing, everyone uses everyone's sites for inspiration. It's just how the world works.

And if it's going to resemble a site, it might as well be one of the hottest sites on the net right now.

Well I have done a small amount of advertising to get the directory out there.

It is currently advertised on directorycritic.com, iwebtool.com, and one or two other sites.

All these advertising campaigns were for one month deals, after which it will be upto the new owner to continue advertising should they want to.
