He's no longer the wealthiest man in the world. I guess the recession has taken its toll on everyone.

It's not recession that's too blame for him dropping a couple of spots. Waren Buffet is the world's best investor. Also, he is well connected...

it is just the shares when the Microsoft shares goes up he will be back to where he is.

 

He could have sold it back then when they were in the high 30's and give it to children in africa!

 

I could be as rich as him if 58,000 people each gave me a million dollars.

Gates wealth is not result of any surge while Buffet & Slim took high rank 'unexpectedly' so they will come back to their original spots soon.

Slim owns alot of real estate so when the real estate recession passes he will be back booming. Poor guy is only worth a measely 60 billion.

I heard gates only took $1 salary one time from Microsoft

 

bill gates gives 50% of his money to charity, if he didn't he would still be #1
