need help modifying wordpress plugin

I use feedwordpress http://projects.radgeek.com/feedwordpress and it works great for my use. My problem is is that it has a function that updates previously syndicated posts. Meaning it updates the time stamp of the post everytime it is syndicated so it isn't placing them in the correct order since it changes the time.

Can anyone figure out how to disable the update existing posts function of this plugin and only have it to where it looks for new posts and if it finds a new post, then it brings it in but doesn't touch the existing posts.

Thanks
