Desing scammer

    Admins feel free to relocate this post to the right place im not really sure where else it will fit

    A month ago I hire a desinger for my website, regrettably I have to pay a deposit of 50% ($125) to start working on my desing, until the things are going well. It sends 2 models and I do not find a desing i like. So I go on photoshop and I make myself a desing. We make a deal he agreed on a price of $ 125 (the original amount) to cut me the desing no additional fees. So I send him my desing. And nothing, I send mail, msn, AIM. I made a HOLD on paypal payment .. Oops he send me a MSN and says the message that you can read on the picture attached to this post. Well I shall disburse the funds and after the finish, nothing not even a little news msn aim and nothing for a month. No refund. This guy was stealing my money, he made me promise. Me as a DUMB i accept.

    thanks for the warning! it's always sad to hear when somebody gets scammed, it's pretty low to do that.

    I will def be more careful in the future when dealing with clients. I saw an article somewhere that suggested having the client and the designer decide upon a designer brief outlining the deliverables and the work to be done and the money.

    I assume you did something like this, and I know it's not perfect, but I will def think more about ways of safeguarding both parties next time I do something.

    So my design cost me the 275$ ... But now im ok!

    i think next time just get referrals first and pay using escrow. it's always safe to use escrow.
