Yesterday i made a thread for selling my domain d4um.com and i got a PM of a guy - petvideotube he said that give me your domain and i will check it and pay you.
I gave him my username and password of name.com and after 1 hour i got a PM that i will pay you within next 10 hours.
Todays when i checked his account i found his account BANNED
I am in need of money and also gave him my domain for very cheap rates (30 $).
Now i feel like crying that i trusted someone and he broke my trust.
I have done many jobs to get the money for the domain and that was my first domain :((
I just say that he will bear a huge loss because of stealing a domain from someone like this.If he don't bear a loss on earth he will sure do in the HELL
Also i tried to get password from name.com but he has changed the email id also  - They said - Password sent to .

Is this whole world like this ? :((

Contact name.com support team. They are really good at helping out:

I have 30+ Domains registered with them!

I receive their reply within 10 hours (of working days!)

Just request them to reset your e-mail, as it was before (i.e. The E-mail address you registered from).

And I know how name.com operates. If you bought domains from your credit card, then talk to your Bank NOW, and tell them not to make transactions for name.com. If you bought domains via PayPal, then login to PayPal NOW. and cancel the invoice!

Because he or she will be able to add credits to the name.com account from your cc or pp.

Just sad to hear what happened to you.
In the real life, those are things that happen everyday. Now just imagine on the internet where people can be anonymous. I don't think that there might be a way to get it back, since he has changed the ownership.
Just try the customers service at name.com, maybe they have some solutions.

I don't know much on how it works with PayPal. I use CC to buy my domains and such.

When you registered, using your PayPal, did it made any kind of contract with your PayPal account?
    I.e. like a contractual invoice?
If yes, then may be you can get some help over here

correct me if I am wrong but from what you said here sounds to me he sent you the money. You don't need a password for that. If he did pay you the money why do you want to take the deal back , do you want more money or ... ?

Anyway if I am mistaking sorry but this is how it sounded like to me

    1. Are you saying paypal shows the transaction as complete but their is no money?
    2. Did you make your paypal address & password the same as your domain username & password?

Something sounds a little fishy. If he sent you a transaction thru pay pal didn't you see the amount? Why not just go thru pay pal & click dispute resolution? What's his verified member total in paypal (its to the right of his name)?

Have you tried calling name.com directly?
Why were you asking how could he use your pay pal account? Your kind of all over the places but not really stating what happenned exactly. Not to mention not answering follow up questions to us trying to help you.

My suggestion Call name.com directly speak to a live person.
Go into dispute resolution in paypal & open a ticket if you didn't receive payment

if he paid you, then wheres the scam, if he didn't why did you give him the account details? you'll always get scammers on these sites..and i feel for you if your domain was stolen and you had no payment..as stated get in touch with name.com, provide proof of when the domain was originally purchased, cc details, paypla transaction etc....but do it fast before he transfers the name out

Yeah, basically you need to contact your registrar and let them know of the fraud. They will more than likely help you.

I still haven't seen where you were scammed? I mean most people who believe they are the victims of a scam no ASAP to report, call do whatever it takes. in your case your using Paypal which again dispute resolution, calling name.com & providing your proof, billing address, should get you started with them. Did you accept the domain name transfer? Did you accept the pay pal payment? If yes then how were you scammed?

itrader and posts not really prove anything much. most of his itraders are from buying. you can get those itraders easy.

the only thing you can trust is how active he is on DP, how long he has been member and see what kind of itraders he got (should be both sell and buy) i know it can not prevent cheating but it will screen out many bad one out.

just be more careful next time.

When you sell domains you should sell them on a safer site like AfterNic
I'm very sorry that happend to you. Don't give up and don't ever trust someone again that you don't know. People can lie and you should only trust those that have earned your trust and you have known for along time :)

Keep on contacting that site and talk to them and try to resolve the problem. Don't give up. Contact paypal too and tell them what is going on. I hope he is not using your paypal account. Change the password now. Change all your passwords to all your accounts right now.

    Hope this helps. Sorry again.

Secrets1212 and HPA got some decent advise.
Also, I'm sorry to hear about the loss.

But I think you will be able to recover the domains if you really put effort into the follow-up.
Call them, and make sure that you can prove your ownership.
