This has been bugging me for a while now and I'm finally doing something about it.

I have adsense turned off through my host file and in the top right where it says 'This is an ad revenue sharing forum Put Your Advertisment Here' The second part is a pixel lower.

OK, it's not serious, It's just a pet peeve.

It's not a problem with the forum. It's a problem that you have AdSense disabled. :)

Technically this would be a bug in vBulletin as it should work in any set-up.

I know it's trivial, but hey, I don't get to complain that much, my wife won't let me.

Actually it looks like a browser issue to me. Both text strings are the same size in the HTML code, and they are both identical heights for me.

With a FireFox extension called NoScript - or in your hostfile.

Find your hosts file. On Windows XP it's in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
    Open it with notepad.

    Under 127.0.0.1 localhost
    Add 127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com

Save it, close and re-open your browser and you won't see google ads.

If you want to turn it of add # (# 127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com)

Save it, close and re-open your browser and you will see google ads again.

but unless you have a server running on the local host answering those calls you will have to wait for them to time out thus slowing down your browsing?

Thanks for that, may need to use it to stop family with "clickie" fingers.

Why would you block adsense ads? Its not like they're annoying! I sure hope you don't run adsense or any ads for that matter on your own websites then!

this is really bad to block adsense ads,.. after all we are webmasters if we block them then its surely others will follow soon and the end will be near,,,..
