was just wondering whther google penalized for using title tags in links and name tags for anchors in links? any ideas?
Im merely wondering, m8 I haven't applied them yet just wondering if anyones tried and benefitted or been penalised?
AFAIK it's actually better to have some variation in anchor texts, rather than having a fixed one. Looks less spammy.
Never heard of it. As far as I know there's no penalisation or bonus for that. I guess Google ignores it. But your visitors don't, so use where it is appropriate, if the link needs additional description.
I always use title="" in my links. It is recommended by google and I have been doing it for ~5 years without a problem. ...href ="http://www.catanich.com/" title="keyword phrase"... As for the use <a name="label">Text to be displayed</a>, I also use it but I do not add a title="" to it.
