Selling a proxy network of mine. It has been a great performer so far. Here are the details:

    http://touyube.info
    http://sympace.info
    http://bacefook.info
    http://bebay.info

    http://portaltomyspace.info
    http://portaltofacebook.info
    http://portaltohi5.info
    http://portaltoorkut.info
    http://portaltobebo.info

These domains have all caught on quite well. I also have not advertised the "Portal To" domains as well together as I could have. This makes a nice little network. All domains are on GoDaddy. Free transfer to a GD account. All have 10+ months left on them.

    Now for the goodies:

This group got over 33,000 UV in this time period. The first 4 have been up since the beginning of Jan, while the Portal To proxies have been going for about 3 weeks.

Also, I recently blocked China and Iran traffic, so the stats reflect that. You won't be getting proxies that are 70% dependent on bad traffic.\

There is also a block of earnings that I got on Canep Media for this group. Can only post 4 images in this post...so I will put one right after this with that image.

    OPENING BID: $100
    RESERVE: YES (not disclosed yet)
    BIN: $500
DURATION: 48 hours (ideally...if we are getting close to reserve, then a small possible extension)

The way I drove traffic, this network will continue to earn without any work. With only minimal work and investment, you can replicate what I did this past month, and assuredly exceed my earnings.

With this will also come the domains:
    http://portaltoyoutube.info
    http://portaltofriendster.info

I never put proxies up on those domains.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

What kind of advertising have you done and what will need to be done in the future (if any).

I have done two types. Paid and free. The paid advertising was your run of the mill newsletter purchase. I'm happy to share those sources with the winner.

The free sources I will also share with the winner. They can be done in 5-10 minutes a day, and they (IMO) are the key to prolonged traffic.

The amount that the winner advertises will largely determine how much is made. I can only direct them to the methods that got my revs to this amount. I'll say this, I tried my best to put a minimal amount of $ into it, and use as much free advertising as I could.

I understand you've put minimal amount into it, but how much? If you're spending $5 per site, profits for the month are down to almost $100.

I'm just trying to get a clear understanding of how much I will need to maintain the network, and how much I will actually profit from it.

Understand and appreciate your question. However, I have other proxies as well, so some of the paid promotion was co-mingled with those. If I had to put a dollar amount on it, I spent about $40 on paid advertising on these proxies over the last 5 weeks. I've learned where to put a dollar, and where not to put a dollar. I'd be happy to share my good and bad experiences with you all the same.

A few other notes that I forgot to include in the orig. post:

    -- http://touyube.info is a PR3 domain.
-- The traffic on these sites was great for collecting email addresses for newsletter blasts. There is an affiliate service for this, so that if you are not collecting your own, you can get paid $0.20 for each sign-up. I had over 500 sign-ups this month, which could have put another $125 into the profits. I decided to keep the emails for myself and use them for my own proxies.

So, I must admit, I'm a bit surprised that there hasn't been more activity with this...

I see other proxies out there for sale, even some that are garbage and haven't changed the "lorem ipsum" text from the templates. These are for sale with short traffic history (<10 days), suspect traffic origins, etc...and they are getting nice bids.

This network of proxies is a quality earner with very good traffic. Much US based (now that I have blocked Iran and China), and on most 70+% of the traffic is now bookmarked or search traffic. The referral traffic is from places like SU and Yahoo.

I guess I have to sweeten the pot.

I will offer a month of free hosting on my server to the buyer. This is a $39 value. Depending on the purchase price, I will even give them a kickstart with some extra advertising initiatives.

    Please ask any questions.

    Thanks!

I think it would be easier if you just sold the proxies individually, at around $75. $500 is just too much for most people here (including myself).

I can understand that. However, some of the value is in the name grouping here.

Also, as you can see, the traffic is a bit disproportionate amongst the sites...leaving some quite a bit more valuable than others individually.

As well, $500 is just the BIN. I have a reserve that is a lower...just haven't gotten the bidding running yet.

Feel free to get us started :)
