"When the wise man points at the moon, the idiot looks at the finger" Confucius Everyone must have read about this DP member, making a killing on clickbank. Is he fake or not, who cares!? What should interest you is how to make $1000 a day on clickbank! And the answer is simple: Become a publisher! Hard Work vs Smart Work? I could have named this part "Being a follower vs Being a leader" because at the end of the day, it boils down to this: who you are as a business person! Some of us are born leaders and others are born followers. Some are happy being part of a team whereas others need to lead, even if it is an army of one. I can safely say that if you try to make it big as an affiliate, you are probably a follower but if you're constantly looking for products that you too could sell as a publisher then you're probably a leader. Affiliates and publishers both have the same goal: make some cash. The only difference is that the affiliate is prepared to workd hard for "little" money while the publisher has devised a smart plan to make a lot! Publishers have understood that this is hard work to be an affiliate and that is why they are prepared to give them %75 of the final price of any products affiliates sell for them. They basically outsource their marketing and will only pay affiliates if they are successful. Imagine owning a business without having to pay minimum wages to thousands of employees and only paying the ones who are making you money... cruel but smart, hun?! Ok, so you got the idea but what if you are a born leader and would love to be a publisher but struggle to find any product to sell!? The solution is simple and is called Rebranding! Rebranding explained How many variations of the same product do you see everyday in shops, libraries, internet? Just look on clickbank, most products have direct competitors. Most of these are the same, simply packaged, named and written differently to make them unique again, that is called rebranding. And guess what? Nothing stops you from doing the same and become a publisher of a rebranded product! After all, this is what most profitable companies do: borrow ideas from already profitable businesses to make their own similar products. How to jump on the money train You too can rebrand or repackage a product and it need not cost the earth! Simply buy ebooks of products you think you can safely and accurately update, re-write, rebrand and repackage! You can even ask for the ebook you bought to be refunded once you're done with it. Is it fair? I know what some people might say. That is not fair and blah blah blah. Sorry to tell you guys, but business is not fair. Competitors are working hard every day to close your business down and put your relatives out of work. That is reality and that is business. As long as you are not infringing any patent or copyright, anything goes in business. Do you think the person selling the ebook on "how to find true love" is the only one in the world allowed to sell ebooks about "love"? Do you really think you will find unique ideas in this ebook? Most of it is made of know facts, psychological and social truths that you too can write about and make money as a publisher! There are lots of "how to" products that you can rebrand and make money with. Just look on clickbank, you just need to get started! I could go on and on about it but hopefully you got the idea. I wrote this because I thought it was an obvious direction for wannabe internet businessmen but was suprised to see that most people want to learn how to be a good affiliate. I guess this is the natural order of things, most people are born followers and are happy to be part of the masses but if you're a born leader I hope you've found this post interesting, make the most of it and become a publisher. Now what to do next? Be nice, be a hard working affiliate who fights to make pennies. Be a businessman, work smart as a publisher and make millions The choice is yours and the opportunities are there! About me: - From France/Morocco (excuse my english) - Currently testing the waters as an affiliate and a publisher to gain some expertise in this field and create my own affiliate platform like CJ or Clickbank.
Amazing post buddy..2 thumbs up for your post.. Let me add something to it.. if you are ready to become leader then here is the tip.. Info product business is very lucrative and can work amazing if you use the right niche and provide the quality information. 1. Decide the best niche on which you want to write it down.. which also have some demand. 2. Gather some ebooks related to that niche. It's not hard to find ebooks at cheap cost on ebay or by doing Google 3. Start writing your own ebook by adding some of your own information too. 4. Create attractive website 5. Creat a buzz about your product and do Joint venture during pre-launch 6. Launch your site 7. Up-sell, down-sell, backend selling and providing affiliate tools to all your members can work great. If anybody is ready to become leader and ready to create ebook then I am ready to help them out. Thanks. Dennyboy
personally, I would be pissed off if somebody decided to copy my products.. I put a lot of time and effort into making them and if someone came along and copied them i would not be happy at all. I just hope your post doesnt make people think its ok to go and copy other peoples hard work. MY advise - Be original, create you OWN product - Dont rip people off. - THIS will give you respect, copying others products wont!
You have the right to be pissed off but if you enter a business you have to accept that there will be competitors... Plus, I dont recommend anyone to break any laws or copyright. I believe I made it clear.
Great post, so true. Launching my own Clickbank product soon, just waiting on finishing touches of landing page design. Will keep all informed. Thank for the solid thinking.
Theres a difference between a "competitor" and a "copycat". If someone is researching stuff in the same area as you, its a competitor. if someone is using YOUR product to write his own, its a copy cat.
Great Post: For anyone that has not heard this saying "Anything you've ever thought of has already been done or thought of"... I guess the question becomes how niche is niche? You can't really make or think of a product nowadays without it already being on the market, even if you try. I see nothing wrong with launching products be they competitive with existing publishers, or in a niche so small there literally is 1 other product in your category on your network(s). Get use to it boys, those that have the resources can dupe your idea, site, make it better, offer it for less literally in less than a week. I speak from experience, and while I don't target competitors and try to put them out, that's what business is all about - don't get emotionally attached to your business or products, always think 10 steps ahead and 2 products ahead, and you'll be fine. Cheers to the OP. *repped NC.
yeah thats true.. I suppose I was just talking about a copycat. I will also add, If you dont think you are a good writer or you cannot speak english very well - you can find somebody here on DP or ar elance.com to help you with your product
Nope. This is actually wrong. People aren't born with labels, Whatever they become is a result of life and their environment. People aren't born as leaders or followers. And the thing about the money. Well remember one thing- You can do a quick copy and make a quick buck or you can be original and build an empire.
Finding a good niche that no one has touched yet can be done - but usually they're few and far between. Most that are successful online, will emulate a product that is already selling. And in the mean time they keep their eyes open for a unique niche opportunity. You don't have to be McDonalds to make money - you can also be a BurgerKing or Wendys. If you're not emulating good selling products - then you're just leaving money on the table for someone else to take.
Believe me, when big companies or big businessman enter a business, they do not enter it becuase they want to be original. They assess the potential of the market and then launch a version of a product. The consumer is blind, the biggest difference between two products is their respective sales pitch. The consumer is looking to be convinced, you have to lead him to the BUY NOW button. That is all you have to do. Look around you: How many toothpaste brand do you see? How many companies sell porridge or cereals? How many water brands? How many burger joints are there on the high street? As long as no copyright or patent is broken, you have the right to sell a product that already exist. Competition is healthy for you and your customers. Stay a step ahead, innovate, create good products and make smart moves and you won't have many competitors to worry about...
I'd say the subject will dictate this. You need to cover your subject from A-Z and hopefully give valuable informations to your clients otherwise you'll be flooded with refunds... If it has to be 1000 pages then so be it but make sure it speaks to your customers and it is well organised. For some information and niche, go to your local library, great potential can be found there. Also always try to create a Unique Selling Point (USP) so that you have an edge over your competitors' product...
Cool Thread. Rebranding products is "bad" but do we really have a choice? Most of the profitable products are already out there... I can still come up with something new: " How to not hurt your knees while crawling on the pavement" - I just doubt I will have much success with it - so I'd have to rebrand or simply buy a full resale rights product and publish it... Business is unfair... Life is as well.
there are still lots of niches that are not covered on CB. I am working on 2 at the moment and should have them complete in under 4 months.. Combined they should add an extra $500-$1000 a week to my income and they will last a few years. To find a niche product - Look around you. Listen to conversations. Read. The ideas will just pop into your head. Seriously, I am always thinking of new markets. When I think something might work I go to google and find out what the market is like. The go to CB and check if there is a product like it. If there is, Sell your version from a unique angle that targets other customers. Then make the product and prepare to launch it. Make sure it converts well before finding affiliates.
Well, I can wish your niche won't be "stolen". But if it is original - I guess you will get enough success to not really care I do agree with you that there are new niches, just recently I read about 2 new products right here on dp; Low Budget Filmmaking Guide Skateboarding Guide Not sure how these guys are doing...
Copying someone else's work can be derived as copyright infringement so anyone taking this guy's advice be very careful. What you should do is research the niche (using existing eBooks to help) and write your own book and improve on what is on the market. What you shouldn't do is take one eBook and re-write it in your own words - if it is too similar then you can get sued for copyright infringement. Also you can just buy PLR eBook packages and sell those without having to write anything.
