Got ripped off by a DP member today called valerr >
Basically he just claimed to own a site he didn't own, got paid 45 bucks and disappeared leaving me looking like a fool for trusting a member with 200+ posts and good iTrader....

There is really no telling who you can trust anymore...

Thanks, someone should seriously start a paid service to track down and make life miserable for all online scammers... at least make sure they are found wherever they are active on the internet...

Well as far as I can telll it wasn't even his site to sell since I've been in contact with the real owner of iphonenews.ca. Have PMd and emailed him several times and also opened a case at PayPal, but you have to wait 20 days before filing a claim against someone.

You should post another warning on that thread so that others won't get dupe too. I wonder why he accepts your bid when he had higher bid offer and the auction is yet to be closed

The auction that is active for iphonenews.ca is the real one and no scam as far as I can see since its the real owner 'mikeinsp' holding it.
It was by finding it that I realized that I got duped by valerr over PM.

wow that make it more sucky. Did you use paypal, you can always lodge a complain even better if you use a cc to pay. Just call up your bank and ask them to cancel that particular payment.

Have you think that mikeinsp and valerr may be one person? And he simply want to sell it twice?
