This website is using hidden links to display ads at the bottom of the page: http://www.free-toplist.biz/listen/519/ Do they get a warning or should they be booted out right away?
If it was like that for the majority of the site, they would be booted/banned immediately, but since it's a small part of the site itself, it's hard to know for sure if it's intentional or accidental with some templating system they use. So in this case, they will be warned. If it was something obvious in the HTML that was doing it, it would be different (like a hidden layer or something). I just think their HTML formatting is whack. heh
Are mouse over links allowed? When the visitors mouse over all the links are displayed. Not for hiding them just for cosmetics.
Please take a look at my pet forum in my sig, if you think the ad there is unacceptable I will replace it immediately, thanks.
It is up to Shawn. But I would vote that is NOT okay for the coop. I think ads should be "clearly" visible.
nevets, I think there is a difference in browsers. IE shows it as a mouse over, others see them as links. But anyway if Shawn or the majority of other co-op members says it is unsuitable I will replace it. Was more a test to see if it would work or not.
On the site in post#1 just to the right of the ads I see this text: The "yourcan_ads.txt" file should be writable hmmmm..
The general opinion thought it was unsuitable so I have changed it back. Does anyone see the text that exam is seeing, something like: The "yourcan_ads.txt" file should be writable And if so why can I not see it?
Is http://www.kalsey.com/textad/ a competing ad network banned under the TOS? It is an advertising co-op like digital point with user added ads but for blogs.
