They never actually had problem with selling links, they have a problem (at least publicly) with link sale which is done for gaining toolbar PR.
google can't tell the difference between paid links for traffic and paid links for p.r. this paid review service rumour is pretty interesting!
Well I guess they will try and corner the market on paid reviews. Anything for profit and since they are trying to control what the bloggers are doing. Something they havent exactly cornered yet or have a thumb on. Especially since they tried to track down paid reviews for PR and gave a few bloggers a 0 for such reviews. Same way I see it as Shoemoney had said: And with that I know that PPP has tried to implement their own PR system now.
That’s why they are advocating the use of nofollow for paid links, that way no pr is passed and the site can still get traffic. As for this being a rumor, well it could be but I have a feeling this really isn’t a rumor.
hmmm very nice. Another way for google to earn more money and continue to own the internet. At least we'll have more reading material now.
I believe that Google Knol will also offer an incentive to its writers to get quality content on the site, possibily could help with tuition frees for many a poor student.
Well that's a great news for bloggers. Now other sites should be worried because of Google's service. Let's wait for big lunch of it.
no, that doesn't tell google if it's a paid link, it just tells google how to handle the p.r.... i put up "nofollow" for unpaid links all the time.
