Hello, Still new to this. I have been reading a lot of info about links. Some say one thing while other say the opposite. Here is my question. What is the most important? Spending the time to do the search engines, blogs & the articles, trade with people. Or Just buy a few link on sites that You feel would be the best for you. I don't get it spend the time to get 100 links on pr0, 1, 2 & pr3 which could take hrs of work or Buy 1 or 2 on a pr6, 7, 8 site. I have also read some people feel that the pr means nothing. Which way should I turn? Thanks
PR means nothing unless you intend to sell links on your site. If you dont intend to do so then just focus on content.
If pr means nothing what your saying if I understand correctly. Buying a link or a pr 2 site could get me just as many people as a pr8 site? Thanks
I think what he is saying is that pr will not effect the relevancy of one of your pages showing up for a search result as much... more pages... more organic referrals... higher page rank... more chance to get more of your pages into the good index... I could see a few links from pr 2 websites pushing the value of your content up higher if they were more relevant to your site as opposed to getting a link from a pr8 site which holds no relevancy... Which way should you turn? Your own way... because nobody playing the seo game has the absolute and definitive answers... it's all speculation... do what works for you and eventually it will all work out... do your research and your tests... do not follow advice blindly...
well if you are targeting for traffic who are interested to look into your website just use your own content rather than copy and paste from other online source that will keep you website boost traffic and you going to get the pr for free autmatically
On line one Mo. Now YEA From Google Analytics my site has 464 Visits 6,187 Pageviews 6.47% Bounce Rate 61.64% % New Visits Search Engines 27 (5.82%) Direct Traffic 437 (94.18%) Is this Good ? Only Advertisement have been Radio if so Keep doing Radio? Still same question $$$ vs. links Thanks
Hello, My friend was just here and she said that I was asking this question wrong. Here is what she said I should be asking. With a Budget of $1000 a mo should I A. pay someone to for links on 100's of small sites PR1, 2 B. Buy just 1 or 2 links on PR6 7 sites. C. Hire a college kid to come here to the office surf the net find the right links and give them a check of $250 a week That is the question. Thanks
Now I am more lost here? I read that google don't like bought links? They sell them!! Isn't every thing a link? But some have different names? Ok here is what mean I have store, my phone # is on my biz cards, in the paper, printed on the ft door of the shop, on flyers, and any other place I can think of to put it. It is even on my website. What I was told was that your url is your phone# on the web. So if you use it in a banner/same as billboard on hwy. link to your phone # use in a txt ad like google sells/ link to your site, Try to cover it up in what is called an article but is really no more then an advertisement in the newspaper. Link to your site. Ok I am new at this someone please explain. But to me, it all is a link; if all a person needs to do is touch it with their mouse and are connected to your site. Just like speed dial on a phone. Help Please
I didn't understand a thing you said in your last message, but links ARE important so PR IS important indirectly. For any competitive search term, websites on the first page of search results will have thousands upon thousands of inbound links. You need quality links in higher quantity, plus time, to beat them.
Hi Sami4u, Google doesnt like bought text links because their sole purpose is to manipulate organic rankings. Matt has been pushing for people to use the nofollow tag for all bought links, or webmaster can even report people buying links through webmaster central. This action by Google should tell you a few things. The obvious being that they dont like paid links. The silver lining is that Google has not figured an effective way out to detecting paid links and this is PROBABLY why they need help from the users. I bolded probably because like everything else in SEO, its all a theory. Ive seen many of our competitors site reaching the top of the organic listing mostly on bought links. This tells me that buying links does work but since G objects it, you should probably be more careful and avoid those typical link brokers and their networks. A response to your question on how to spend your $1000. I would suggest you to save the money. Link building should be done on your own since it is one of the most important part of SEO/Marketing. You can do very well without spending any money, but it will take you time. I know time is money, but there is really no easy way you can just spent $1000 to get first page ranking....or else we will all be doing it. Hope this helps. And good luck to you.
