I was looking at it last night, indeed it looks cool but it lacks scale. It will show trend through the year but not some tangible measure of scale. It's nice to know something has doubled but is it double from five hits or doubled from a million.

I am pondering why Google doesn't provide numbers or even a range

This is inside the keyword tool, it is just a quick feature to take a decision to add or not a single keyword and go fast to the next one to decide again.

I think that scale numbers would make the keyword tool too heavy for people like me that stay 6 hours a day in front of it.
