i 've been sumbitting to different directory and getting reject... Just want to know what kind of title and description work best. Please input your opinion
It depends on the directory. Some prefer short descriptions, others prefer descriptions that are a paragraph long. Some require that the title is the same as the site name, and some really don't care. Your best bet is to look at the requirements they list on their Add URL page. Also take a look at other sites that have been accepted, and see what sort of title and description they've used to get a good idea of what the individual(s) running the directory expect or would like to see. That said, not sure what site you're submitting, but if they don't feel the site qualifies for their directory, it won't matter how perfect your title and description are. Also if they require reciprocal links, obviously not adding the reciprocal link isn't going to help you. Good luck!
samskpunk: Try this probably it will help you here are few common rules for most directries however as said by jdi_knght it differs from directory to directory.. Title: Site name your Keywords Examlpe: Digital point SEO Forums Don't CAPITALIZE All words Description [1] Should not contain promotional languages like best site,#1 site etc.. [2] Don't use Meta details directly [3] see titles and desciptions in directories like Dmoz, Zeal, Joeant. Probably you will get idea..
Most directories have submission guidelines that will usually discuss: 1) The type of site Exclusions can include pharmacy, adult, illegal etc. 2) The title and description of the site Obviously this is different from site to site. On my directories I allow site name plus a couple of keywords. Another thing you can get rejected for is that you have submitted to the wrong category. Some sites can also reject if you've submitted as a subdomain or a deep-page.
If I have a higher pr (pr3 rather than pr0), will I have a better chance? This is my title Revirgination - vaginal cosmetic surgery. Below is my description We provide Information on revirgination surgery including the preparation, cost, procedure and aftercare of Hymen Repair, Vaginal Rejuvenation and Designer Vagina. Most of the directory doesn't have a category of plastic surgery. I usually use women's health as the categorized. Do you think it is appropriate? Thx for the input!
Yea should be fine. I'd be borderline in my directory buy I'd accept it. I don't like long titles or a bunch of comma'd keywords in the description. I'd prefer if you just used 'Vaginal Cosmetic Surgery' in your anchor, and it'd be better for your serps if you did that too.
No legitimate directory will take your page ranking into consideration for accepting or declining your website. If you have a good quality website and read and follow the submission guidelines you should have no problem being accepted.
This bring up another question. Does the editior actually look into my website and check every single page? Also wonder why most directory doesn't have a category for plastic surgery
Some editors do a pretty thorough review, others may just check a few pages. Try looking under Health/Medicine for a Cosmetic Surgery subcategory. Good luck.
potnuru, would you offer me a listing? seem like you have a nice PR4 directory. May i have to URL please?
Actually all directories have their own rules and regulation to submit any link. So before submitting one should check out these and try to follow. One can look to other submitted site on these directories how they have written their title and description.
hey, firstly it depends on the directory see its rules and regulations and i will say that use your niche name and tell them whats it all about.be natural so that it doesnot look spammy.dont stuff too much keywords. Thanks
Rejected!! reasons - improper capitalization and keyword stuffing. I consider any keyword (and minor variations of same) used more than once to be stuffing. I will make occasional exceptions for 'cut above' submissions and when something would be lost by rewording. Yes, my directories all have a free option and seldom fall more than a couple hundred behind in approving/rejecting.
i know many free directories whose rules and regulations are not strick and there ranking is also well in google like ezine.com,how.com and you search 100 new in searching directories in google! Thanks
