A lot of tests have been those and the average show that this is the best unit to have in between the text.

 

For me, the best performing ad size is link units generally, especially if they have the same colors of the site and are included between site texts.

 

for the old ads format that all the ads area clickable, the 336*280 is no doubt the best ads size.
but now, as the ads area changed, i think that depands on you site, now i prefer to use the 250*250 on the left side of the articles.

 

After the clickable area change I tried to use smaller formats, but in the end the large rectangle is the one that works best for me.

Yes, The large skyscraper is a very good one to go for.

The other ones require a little more focus on good positioning.

 

I found that the Rectangle works best as well for mine..probably because it's quite small so that you can't see the site's URL and it "tricks" your readers, thinking that the link is still part of your site lol

 

i always prefere 300X250 over large rectangle.
