Hi- does anyone know of a good RSS mashup script that draws RSS feeds from multiple sources and republishes them on my site? Thanks-
Hi guys, thanks for the help... but I am aware of those 2 things. I dont want it for a blog. I was thinking of something more along the lines of a portal site that draws feeds from multiple RSS sources and brings them together on my site. Obviously the outbound links would still be going to the participating sites and also the entries would just be the first few lines and not the whole story so as not to infringe on anyone.
Try RSS2HTML - it is free on www.feedforall.com It does take some PHP knowledge. I can give you a small sample. PM me and we can workout something.
I know what you're getting at, but with a little manipulation, you could easily make the front page display the feeds in a "mash-up" style format.
MagpieRSS is simple to use, its actualy the same script indexu directory script uses, is that what your after ? http://magpierss.sourceforge.net/
I don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for, but I have a free RSS mashup script available. It grabs content from ebay, google & yahoo news along with youtube adsense videos. You're welcome to pick it apart and use what's appropriate. http://blog.hugepedlar.com/free-ebay-youtube-adsense-mashup-script/ There's also a similar script offered at 45n5.com http://www.45n5.com/permalink/howto-build-a-youtube-ebay-amazon-mashup-affiliate.html
The 45n5 script doesn't work anymore since the YouTube and eBay API's have been updated, but this modified version - free niche site script, works great!
