Inside Yahoo directory give boost to Google ranking?

I love to read that page over and over so that one day i'll remember it perfectly but something made me scratch my head and its that:
if you look at the google ranking factor #83 which is:

HOT - 83 - Site listed in yahoo directory ? - Big boost you can get in by paying...

So it means that the yahoo web directory plays on google algorithm? how ?

I would guess that plays on the whole backlink thing and Yahoo is a reliable source. Who Knows? Interesting though.

 

from experience i can say it definately helps boost yahoo rankings for the anchor text you use in the directory listing. Google likes 'authority' links a lot more nowadays and i would imagine it sees yahoo as an authority

 

If this would be the case it could mean a major boost to Yahoo. Would like to see more evidence about this.

So the yahoo web directory can help ranking in both google and yahoo, i'll try ( yes ) to submit my website to yahoo just because i want to see how its like once you are inside yahoo directory, eheheh. I will just pay one time, i hate to pay for web directories seriously

 

I will end up paying for it since they won't accept my site for free. Bastards

 

i think its the same with me, i'll try everything possible to get it inside free. I'll forget about my google ads for about 1 month the time they review the site and once it's inside i'll put my google ads back on my site.
